Ingredients

  • 90% of the ingredients we use are certified organic from a market or the farmers market. Our proteins are always organic and beef is always grass fed. All cooking oils we use are organic. Roughly 10% of our other ingredients are not certified organic.

We do value supporting local farmers; some farmers don’t yet have an organic certification. We also use a few spices from producers around the world that do not hold an organic certification.

  • We work directly with local organic farmers year round to source best quality fruits and vegetables, herbs, leafy greens, meats and fish, etc.

Any ingredient that we cannot source locally and organically from an independent market, we may purchase through Whole Foods.

  • We use organic and cold pressed extra virgin olive oil and extra virgin cold pressed coconut oil for cooking. We may dress salads with unrefined cold pressed sesame oil.*

We will never use refined oils such as canola, corn, safflower, sunflower, grapeseed, peanut, soybean oil, etc. We do not deep fry foods.

*Sesame seed oil is technically a seed oil. When using sesame seed oils, we select a high quality unrefined option and use it at a very low cooking temperature. When in it's unrefined form, sesame seed oil has been found to reduce inflammatory markers and offers anti-oxidant properties as well.

  • Thankfully no. Our kitchen is free of plastic cutting boards, plastic cookware, PFA & nonstick cookware. We use single-piece wooden cutting boards, stainless steel knives, and wooden or stainless utensils, and stainless or iron cookware.

Our meals are delivered in glass containers, we will never deliver in single-use plastic materials.

Our recyclable containers are plant based.

  • We cook in a shared kitchen workspace. The kitchen is not certified gluten free.

There are no gluten, dairy, refined sugar, or seed oils present in the time slot of our production, and our kitchen is sanitized between time slots.

We think of it as a restaurant scenario: if you’re able to communicate your allergies and eat safely in a restaurant, we can accommodate your needs through the personalized meal services.

If you allergy is severe and you are unable to eat at restaurants, you may reach out for us to accommodate an in-home cooking experience.
